Yalik as exceeded expectations with his growth and development and is moved to a new lab in the complex the same night as his heart to heart with Marik. The lab is run by the head scientist Dr. Cainith. Marik doesn’t learn about this change in location until after the fact.

Previously, and a little after…

Marik cleans himself and the undead Yalik up, and worries about the messy needle track he left and Yalik's wrist... yeah he broke the chain to get Marik, its dangerous that he can get free, but his wrist is broken/injured too now and he might not heal fully from it by the morning because the virus/whatever that regenerates and animates him is suppressed by the tranquilizer... though if its still hurt by morning the technician/aide that Yalik caught his teeth on will be blamed... in fact the whole broken chain thing and Yalik not being fully under at night (sleeping), will also be blamed on him because its his job to check that... never mind that Marik had a hand in it.

The “Techy” will be dead/dying anyway though because he didn't take his immunity shot. So he is infected from the bite and is having a bad reaction...Everything else is clean in the lab though because Marik is a paranoid bastard. Personally Marik thinks of Yalik as an animal at best, not even recognizing Marik as anything but another thing he wants to eat, even though Marik spends the most time with him and will now even be cleaning and feeding him now that the tech is dead...

Marik went in the next day, limping a little, and found the technician who never made it out of the lab. He couldn't be saved, and Marik started to be little worried about the scratches he received because he thought they might be infected because they were so dark but decided that it was just bruising. However he still wasn't feeling well and it was attributed to the technician dying, so he took a short absence. This takes place a few days after that day.

Have you ever read a fanfic where a character is turned into a "cat-boy" or something of the like and becomes some guy’s sex slave in uber-uke fashion? I've read a few about Ryou, where he ends up as a bunny boy and follows the same script. I find it a bit over done, in fact I’ve never seen a real variant on this particular cliché. Yeah, the animal characteristics may change occasionally but in the end he always ends up acting like a trained submissive or becomes child/animal-like in his simplistically the moment someone makes him their cumdumpster if not before that. Which is strange because not only are rabbits Very difficult to train, they generally don’t make obedient pets for all their cuteness. Ryou is much the same. So a plot blot bunny came to me in the form of rabbit boy-Ryou, demanding tribute and retribution, reminding me that one of the early tricksters in mythology was a rabbit. However, no one really cares or knows this fact and so Kitsunemimi-Ryou was born, along with his story line, during my Art History class.
